Reminder! BES Field Day Shirt Orders are due TUESDAY, May 11th! There are several options for payment on the form this year! Please turn orders into Tanya Howbert in the office by email, or send with your child and have them drop it off in the office. Order form was emailed out earlier today.

Listed below is the schedule for Field Day on May 27. We are thrilled to have parents and family members join us for this event. Field Day will be completely outside, and we ask Buffalo families to remain outside with students and join us in watching the fun. Masks will be required. Families are welcome to bring lawn chairs to make it even more comfortable to watch the festivities. Lunch will be served in the front area of the building for all students and BES families.

Hello Berryton Families! We are so excited to have Field Day back and are looking for volunteers to help with the luncheon. We will be setting up from 9-11, then serving lunch from 11 -1 and finally cleaning up from 1-2ish. We are needing about 10-15 people throughout this time to allow parents to have lunch with their kids while keeping up with prep work for the next classes. We are also looking for those who have extra-large coolers that we can borrow for juice, soda and water. We need about 8-10 coolers. Hello Berryton families! This week is Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week. BES PTO will be catering in a barbecue lunch for the teachers and staff and having snacks this week. If you would like to contribute a few dollars toward this meal and snacks that would be great. Please send cash or checks made to Berryton PTO with your student through backpack mail in an envelope marked BES PTO MEAL by Friday 5/7. You may also contribute via the PTO PayPal account at berrytonpto@gmail.com or Venmo @BerrytonPTO. Please add PTO Meal to the notes and if you select the friends/family option it will avoid fees charged to the PTO. If any extra money sent in, it will be put towards the next teacher/staff meal. Please help us show our Berryton teachers and staff some love. We encourage you to take some time and do a little something special for them this week. A note, email, small gift or gift certificate are nice ways to show your appreciation for all they do. Teachers and staff have been amazing and we want to say we see you, we appreciate you, and we love you! Berryton has the BEST teachers, staff, and school! Thank you for your support!

Just a friendly reminder from your BES PTO: May 3-7 is Teacher Appreciation Week!! Please remember to acknowledge the hard work your teachers have done for our students this past year!! Send a note or a flower or have your child draw a picture for your teacher!! Thank you!

May 3-9 is National Screen Free Week! We invite you to enjoy some device free time as a family! Check your child’s backpack for a brochure with ideas for spending some quality offline family time. The brochures were specifically designed by our Berryton 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students to share with our Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students and their families. Once you receive your brochure, we challenge you to complete at least one of the screen free ideas listed! Send us a photo and you will be entered to win a Screen Free Summer Fun and Games Prize Basket! Send your photo via email to: bakerj@shawneeheights.net Please include your students first and last name along with the name of the upper grade student who designed your brochure! Both students will be entered to win the prize baskets! You must submit your photo by Sunday, May 9th. Winners will be announced on Monday, May 10th!
